| Comment: A lot of people gave CW a heck of a lot of grief about how he handled what is now known internationally as The Pancake Innuendo Incident. Particularly, his response to Smedley which some circles interpreted as hateful and irresponsible. I'm here to defend this character's... well, character. Bottom line is that Smedley, after a visit from the Alaska Department of Consumer Affairs AND the state Department of Revenue, was brought up on civil charges for price gouging on intra-county lines.(his establishment was improperly zoned and was actually bifercated by a county line. He has repeatedly denied any such zoning infraction and always refers inquiries about this to his attorney, Mr. Droopy Dog, Esq.) Unfortunately, the media empire that is so much a part of our lives today, convieniently forgets facts such as this because it doesn't sell advertising space. The result? a true symbol, nay, an EXAMPLE of propriety like Chilly Willy is forced to spend the twilight of his Camelot-esque career defending accusations that simply are unfounded.
